Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Insulation Technician to join our team at Sibwest Building Restoration Inc.. This role is essential in ensuring the energy efficiency and comfort of buildings through effective insulation solutions.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months in a related field
Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to assess work requirements.
  • Determine the appropriate type of insulation needed for various applications.
  • Measure and cut insulation materials to specified shapes and dimensions using both hand and power tools.
  • Apply and secure insulation using various methods including spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, and taping.
  • Install insulation around obstacles and within joists and studs.
  • Apply waterproofing materials over insulation as needed.
  • Fabricate and install removable insulation pads and covers.
  • Estimate material costs and quantities required for projects.
  • Safely remove hazardous insulation materials such as asbestos and lead from buildings.
