The Outside Parts Salesperson is responsible for promoting, selling, and securing orders from both existing and potential customers through a relationship-driven approach.
Primary Job Functions
- Initiate cold calls to new prospects.
- Reconnect with existing customers to ensure Velocity remains their preferred choice for parts.
- Manage a designated territory, maintain CRM records, and deliver products.
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate products and services tailored to their needs.
- Utilize computer systems for processing parts and supplies, maintaining records, preparing orders, posting receipts, drafting sales contracts, making stock adjustments, and processing credit requests.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in sales or familiarity with the transportation sector.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Customer service-oriented with excellent communication skills for maintaining customer relationships.
- Results-driven mindset.
- Self-motivated and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, or Marketing is advantageous.
- Parts Technician certification from Apprentice to Journeyman is a plus.
- Valid class 5 driver's license.
