About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at JD Trans Inc. as a Logistics Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various routes, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation Management: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
  • Logistics Coordination: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and efficient route planning.
  • Cargo Handling: Load and unload goods, oversee the condition of the vehicle, and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe and secure transportation.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes, and maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, and oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance, including preventive maintenance and emergency roadside repairs.
  • Team Collaboration: Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques, and work as part of a two-person team or convoy to ensure efficient and safe transportation.

  • Valid passport
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • 35 hours per week
