We are seeking a highly skilled and charismatic Morning Hostess to join our team at Bar George. As a Morning Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities- Guest Flow Management: Effectively manage restaurant flow to maximize seating capacity, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for our guests.
- Communication and Teamwork: Communicate with Servers, Bartenders, and Managers to maintain proper guest flow throughout the restaurant, taking ownership and empowering others to achieve our high standards.
- Guest Engagement: Warmly greet guests, engage them in conversation, and seat them accordingly, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
- Reservation Management: Accurately take and confirm reservations over the phone and in person, modifying guest status in Open Table as needed.
- Pre-Shift Briefings: Develop a briefing sheet before each shift to inform co-workers of shows, concerts, special events, and notable guests.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for our guests.
- Knowledge and Awareness: Familiarize yourself with table numbers and maintain awareness of which servers are in each section, ensuring a smooth and efficient service.
- Team Player: Demonstrate a team player attitude, being open to other duties as assigned or required.
- Attention to Detail: Possess high attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all aspects of your role.
- Calm Under Pressure: Remain calm and composed under pressure, working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Organizational Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Communication Skills: Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clear and effective communication with colleagues and guests.
- Professional Urgency: Maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum, ensuring a high level of productivity and efficiency.
- Physical Demands: Be able to remain standing for long periods of time, meeting the physical demands of the role.
- Experience: Possess a minimum of 1 year of restaurant experience, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
