About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Paralegal Specialist to join our team at Toronto Advocates. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in supporting our lawyers in preparation for mediation and judicial dispute resolutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Documentary Evidence Preparation: Assemble and organize documentary evidence in preparation for trial, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Research and Record Management: Conduct thorough research and manage records, court files, and other legal documents to support our lawyers.
  • Legal Correspondence: Draft and prepare legal correspondence, including letters, memos, and other documents, as required.
  • Court Scheduling and Coordination: Assist in the coordination of court schedules, pre-trial preparations, and other related tasks.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English and one or more of the following languages: Arabic, Mandarin, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, Bengali, German, Somali, Ukrainian, or Chinese.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a large caseload.
