Job Summary

CD PROJEKT RED is seeking a highly skilled Technical Animation Specialist to join our team and contribute to the development of our animation pipeline for Project Orion. As a key member of our animation team, you will work closely with leads, directors, and engineers to drive the development of our tools and pipelines for animation across characters, vehicles, and weapons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement efficient animation systems for characters, vehicles, and weapons.
  • Collaborate with artists and engineers to create highly optimized animation systems.
  • Develop and maintain the animation pipeline, ensuring seamless integration with other teams.
  • Communicate effectively with directors and production to estimate and plan work.
  • Mentor junior technical animators, animators, and artists to foster a culture of creativity, trust, and excellence.
Requirements
  • At least 8 years of experience as a Technical Animator.
  • Expert-level experience with rigging in Maya and motion builder.
  • Expert-level knowledge of UE5/Blueprint.
  • Solid portfolio demonstrating expertise in animation and pipeline development.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, especially with character deformation and physics.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Positive attitude towards receiving feedback and exchanging knowledge.
  • Able to deliver and receive feedback in a productive and accountable manner.
  • Avid and passionate gamer.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with motion matching.
  • Scripting proficiency in languages such as Python, LUA, etc.
  • Prior experience with first-person AAA titles.
