Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Applications Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of success in sales and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders, including engineers, architects, contractors, and developers, to grow sales and expand market share.
  • Maintain a presence in the engineering community and provide technical solutions to clients to achieve satisfaction and design intent.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry and local codes and regulations, as well as market trends, to ensure compliance and identify opportunities.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and continuously learn and grow in the role.
  • Self-educate and attend manufacturer's factory and training visits to stay current on the latest product developments and software tools.
  • Build sustainable customer relationships and trust through open communication.
  • Cross-train on mechanical and air-side products to identify opportunities for other products.
  • Participate in ASHRAE meetings and events, and assist with planning and implementing new product introductions.
  • Attend divisional and office meetings, and participate in customer events as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering with excellent knowledge of HVAC systems.
  • University degree or college diploma in mechanical engineering specialization required.
  • Holding a Professional Engineer designation (PEng) is an asset.
  • Ability to read architectural and mechanical drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, listening, and written presentation.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and resourceful with the ability to work under pressure unsupervised.
  • Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit and innovative mind.
  • Strong work ethic guided by personal integrity and mutual respect.
