Food Preparation Specialist

The Food Prep Worker II is a key member of our culinary team, responsible for assisting cooks, chefs, or food service managers in preparing ingredients for recipes and performing other food preparation and service tasks. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
- Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
- Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
- Safely utilize a variety of utensils, including knives
- Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
- Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, and coworkers
- Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures, including proper food safety and sanitation
- Ensure the security of company assets
- Previous food prep experience is preferred
- Knowledge of various food prep methods, proper knife handling, and food safety regulations is preferred
- Must be able to obtain required food safety certification
- Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
- Demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
