**Job Summary**

We are looking for a Heavy Equipment Technician to perform routine maintenance and repairs on our heavy equipment fleet. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems, and construction equipment.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Inspect and diagnose faults in heavy equipment using computerized testing equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty and automotive vehicles
  • Repair and service machine attachments
  • Consult with other Mechanics and Supervisor when needed
  • Report damaged or faulty equipment to management
  • Perform other duties as required

**Requirements**

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Apprenticeship Documentation
  • Proven work experience as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
  • Previous maintenance experience with Komatsu Dozers, Hitachi or John Deere Excavators is preferred but not required
  • Understanding of computer testing technologies
  • Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic & electrical systems, and construction equipment
  • Good communication skills
