About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wildfire Technician to join our team in Lillooett, BC. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in natural disaster mitigation, primarily fire suppression, and contribute to community safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise crews and manage an assigned portfolio, including training and prescribed fire
  • Ensure year-round preparedness and response to emergency situations
  • Collaborate with other staff and agencies to achieve team goals
  • Participate in Incident Command System positions as assigned
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in a field related to forestry, resource management, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience: Minimum two years of supervisory experience in emergency response or a related field
  • Skills: Valid class 5 driver's license, incident commander certification, and ability to work in remote locations
