Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Academic Instructor to join our team at Georgian College. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering courses in the Veterinary Technician Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver courses in the Veterinary Technician program in a personable and engaging manner
  • Develop and deliver curriculum to meet course objectives, incorporating a variety of teaching and learning strategies
  • Evaluate student progress and achievement, providing constructive feedback and guidance
  • Participate in program and college activities, fostering a positive learning environment
Qualifications
  • Successful completion of a diploma in Veterinarian Technician or Technology
  • Registration as a Registered Veterinarian Technician with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians (OAVT)
  • Minimum of five years' experience working in a clinical practice setting with emphasis on companion animals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to life-long learning
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment and to foster the same in students
