Job Summary

Community Therapists is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in a community-based rehabilitation role. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with clients across the rehabilitation continuum, providing functional assessments, developing rehab plans, and facilitating access to other health services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive functional assessments and prepare detailed reports
  • Visit clients in their homes to develop and implement rehabilitation plans
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless hospital discharge planning and assessments
  • Identify equipment and service needs for clients and facilitate access to necessary resources
  • Provide case management to support clients in accessing other health services
  • Supervise and develop rehab assistant plans to ensure effective client care
  • Liaise with funders, family members, and healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care

Requirements

  • Member of the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC) or eligible for registration
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with insurance payers is an asset
  • Experience with WorkSafeBC programs is desirable
