About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at the YMCA of Niagara. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our members and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Dust and polish furniture, vacuum carpets and area rugs, and clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Light Housekeeping: Perform general cleaning duties, including emptying trash and recycling, and restocking supplies.
  • Work Environment: Ensure a non-smoking environment and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Transportation: Provide your own transportation to and from work.
  • Availability: Be available to work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in cleaning and maintenance an asset.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Hours: 9 hours per week.
