Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Tech to join our team. As a Mental Health Tech, you will provide direct patient care and participate in therapeutic milieu under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Accurate and timely documentation of patient information
  • Establishing therapeutic relationships with patients and maintaining professional boundaries
  • Participating in patient rounds and teams
  • Completing patient care assignments
  • Identifying and de-escalating crisis situations
  • Communicating patient status to RN
  • Following Standards of Care and protocols
  • Performing Point of Care testing
Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Tech, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing direct patient care and support
  • Participating in therapeutic milieu and patient groups
  • Assisting patients with activities of daily living
  • Maintaining a clean and organized environment
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in direct patient care, preferably in a psychiatric setting
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic medical records
