**Job Summary**

Cutting Edge Landscaping Ltd is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment, including dozers, loaders, and excavators, to ensure the efficient and safe completion of our landscaping projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy equipment, including dozers, loaders, and excavators, to screen, tidy, and load soil piles.
  • Take direction from on-site Foreman and Project Manager to ensure daily tasks and goals are met.
  • Coordinate with project managers, trucking department, and subcontractors to ensure site timelines, deliveries, and obstacles are managed effectively.
  • Recognize and adhere to safe operating procedures and proper training on equipment.
  • Operate company trucks with and without trailers, and demonstrate responsible driving practices.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and daily checks to ensure all equipment is in proper working order.
  • Have an attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Uphold our safety culture and safe work practices.
  • Complete required paperwork for our safety program and participate in weekly meetings.
  • Work is labor-intensive and will be outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Perform various tasks, including maintenance on equipment and trailers, minor mechanical repairs, and loading and chaining down equipment for proper load securement.

Requirements:

  • Heavy Equipment Operator experience, 3 years+
  • Similar heavy equipment operating experience (dozer, loader, excavator, backhoe)
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Bend, rotate, and stand for long periods of time
  • Class 5 Driver's Licence - Required
  • CSTS-2020
  • First Aid Certification
  • Heavy Equipment Tickets - Asset
  • Steel Toed Boots
  • Hard Hat
