Position Overview

DOF Subsea Canada is seeking meticulous and client-oriented professionals for the role of ROV Pilot Technician. This position offers opportunities for both local and international assignments, making it an ideal setting for those eager to advance their careers in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute all tasks assigned by the Operational ROV Supervisor during ROV operations, maintenance, repairs, and preparations;
  • Comply with the DOF Subsea Personal Record of Competence;
  • Implement internal and external Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment standards during operations;
  • Participate in familiarization and debriefing sessions before mobilization and demobilization;
  • Engage in projects and complete tasks as outlined in separate functional descriptions;
  • Adhere to all guidelines in the Business Management System (BMS);
  • Perform work tasks as directed, following established procedures and routines defined in the DOF Subsea Atlantic quality system;
  • Maintain familiarity with the ROV system;
  • Operate and maintain the ROV system in accordance with established standards.

Qualifications

Essential Competencies:

  • Experience with work class ROV systems;
  • Post-secondary education focused on:
  1. Remote Operated Vehicles (ROV)
  2. Electrical Engineering
  3. Engineering Technology
  4. Mechanical Engineering
  5. Equivalent experience or training will be considered
Knowledge of Technical Specifications and Standards in the renewables sector;Technical proficiency in computer and electronic interfacing;Experience in technical testing and troubleshooting;Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure;Effective communication skills, including proficiency in reading and writing;Able to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
