We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to join our team at Baker Tilly WCR LLP. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package, including extended health care, flexible work schedule, ongoing training, and support for professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assistance with and preparation of accounting engagements, including adjusting journal entries, financial statements, and corporation income tax returns.
  • Assistance with and preparation of client bookkeeping.
  • Assistance with and preparation of personal income tax, T4, WCB, and T5 returns.
  • Supporting various projects and administrative tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience within an accounting or administration office.
  • Experience with Caseware, TaxPrep, Profile, Doc-it, QBO, Xero, and/or Microsoft Suite is an asset.
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to make decisions and problem-solve independently within the scope of the position.
