Financial Analyst - Asset Backed Securitization

The Financial Analyst - Asset Backed Securitization role is a key position within the VOLKSWAGEN Group, supporting the company's asset-backed securitization (ABS) programs, debt financing, investment accounting, and derivatives portfolios. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the structuring team in the development and design of ABS programs, including reviewing offering and legal documents, providing data and analysis for asset pool selection and reconciliation, and supporting due diligence efforts with external accountants.
  • Maintain accounting and servicing support for ABS transactions under US/Canadian/International accounting standards and related regulations, including asset selection and removal, maintenance of ABS systems and database records, and preparation of monthly servicing reports, journal entries, and supporting documentation.
  • Support the company's hedge accounting programs, including providing analytics and accounting support for hedging strategies, maintaining models used by treasury in interest rate risk management, and preparing hedge accounting documentation and effectiveness testing.
  • Contribute to investment accounting, including analysis of monthly investment activities, preparation of GL entries, and accounting and investment portfolio analysis to support the Investment Committee and controlling.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of professional accounting and financial analysis experience.
  • Treasury, corporate finance, and/or banking experience is desired.
  • Experience in and/or understanding of automotive financing business.
