Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to provide consultative services to students in our district. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our staff and families to support students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessments and recommendations to staff and families to support student success
  • Determine equipment needs and provide training to staff as required
  • Liaise with external professionals and agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized plans
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and the College of Occupational Therapists of BC
  • Experience working with student-aged children, especially those with multiple physical challenges
  • Experience working with children in integrated settings and working with multidisciplinary teams

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Ability to liaise between school staff and outside agencies
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Strong initiative
  • Ability to work independently
