Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units to build structures, chimneys, and fireplaces.
  • Estimate materials, tools, and equipment required for projects.
  • Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages.
  • Instruct apprentices.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Physically demanding work environment.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work at heights.
Work Environment:

The work environment is physically demanding, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling. The ability to work at heights and handle heavy loads is essential.
