We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Richmond Villa. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities:- Provide consultative services regarding issues relevant to nursing practice and the nursing profession.
- Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas as needed.
- Transport patients in wheelchairs or stretchers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Take patients' blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, monitoring their vital signs.
- Supervise patients' exercise routines, promoting physical activity and mobility.
- Serve meal trays and feed patients, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
- Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and sterilizing operative areas.
- Maintain patients' rooms, making beds, and ensuring a clean and comfortable environment.
- Maintain inventory of supplies, ensuring that all necessary equipment is available.
- Supply and empty bed pans, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
- Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments, facilitating communication and collaboration.
- Transport patients between care facilities, ensuring their safe transfer.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities.
- Criminal record check, ensuring a safe and secure environment for residents.
- Attention to detail, ensuring accurate and thorough patient care.
- Bending, crouching, kneeling, and physically demanding tasks, requiring stamina and endurance.
- Repetitive tasks, requiring focus and concentration.
- Efficient interpersonal skills, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
- Excellent oral communication, ensuring clear and concise communication with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
- Flexibility, adapting to changing situations and priorities.
