Job Title: Apprentice Roofer

Flynn Canada Ltd. is seeking a skilled Apprentice Roofer to join our team. As an Apprentice Roofer, you will assist experienced roofers in installing and repairing various types of roofing systems, including asphalt shingles, wood shingles, and metal roofs.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the installation of built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel
  • Help install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings
  • Assist in the installation of single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions
  • Repair or replace single-ply roofing systems
  • Assist in instructing apprentices
  • Help install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools
Requirements:
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy environments, and outdoors
  • Ability to work in various locations, including commercial and industrial settings
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Dependability, reliability, and team player skills
