Key Responsibilities- Respond promptly and courteously to resident call bells and door alarms, ensuring their needs are met with a high level of service.
- Deliver resident care as outlined in care plans and assignments, prioritizing their comfort, safety, and well-being.
- Transport residents to and from their rooms, activities, and dining areas, promoting social interaction and community engagement.
- Perform laundry and housekeeping duties, maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for residents.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues, addressing concerns and resolving issues in a professional and respectful manner.
- Adhere to safe food handling practices, ensuring the quality and safety of food preparation and service.
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of our community.
- Minimum six months of experience in a similar role, demonstrating a strong understanding of resident care and community support.
- Current First Aid/CPR training, ensuring the ability to respond to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions.
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills, facilitating effective communication with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing collaboration and mutual support.
- Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check, ensuring the safety and security of our residents.
- Personal Support Worker Certificate, demonstrating a higher level of training and expertise in resident care.
