Job Title: Insulation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Insulation Specialist to join our team at Six Star Homes Inc. As an Insulation Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the thermal performance of our buildings by installing and maintaining insulation materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Select and apply the appropriate type of insulation required for each project
  • Instruct and supervise apprentices in insulation installation and maintenance
  • Measure and cut insulation materials to the required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools
  • Apply and secure insulation using various methods, including spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, and taping
  • Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs
  • Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of other workers
  • Estimate costs and materials for insulation projects
  • Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment
  • Remove hazardous insulation materials, such as asbestos and lead
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in insulation installation and maintenance
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, and specifications
Work Environment:

Our Insulation Specialists work in a fast-paced construction environment, often at heights and in confined spaces. They must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
