About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join Siemens Energy Canada Limited as a skilled Machinist. As a key member of our Gas Services Business Unit, you will play a critical role in the repair and overhaul of gas turbine engines and their modules.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Use technical drawings to set up and adjust production machines, ensuring precision and quality in every component.
  • Repair gas turbine components through machining operations, including taper reaming of turbine discs and shafts.
  • Polish gas turbine blades and valves to remove oxidation or other defects.
  • Perform minor component repairs, including removal of seized bolts and fittings, and removal of abradable liners on seals.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop new repair instructions and improve existing processes.

What We're Looking For

  • A trade school diploma in Machining or Mechanical Assembly.
  • A certificate of study in aeronautics recognized by the Ministry of Education is an asset.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen sense of innovation.
  • Self-reliance and resourcefulness in a fast-paced environment.
