Position Summary
We are currently seeking a dedicated Loader Operator to join our operations in Crescent Valley, BC.
Key Responsibilities
- Load materials from stockpiles to designated areas and vehicles.
- Operate a wash plant with a focus on safety and quality.
- Utilize heavy machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct daily maintenance and safety inspections of equipment.
- Perform pre-operational checks on machinery, ensuring cleanliness, lubrication, and refilling as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work facilities.
- Position heavy equipment for loading and unloading tasks.
- Engage in and uphold the principles outlined in the company’s safety program.
- Execute additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
- Capable of fostering a positive and safe work environment while collaborating with team members and management in a physically demanding and fast-paced setting.
- Awareness of occupational hazards and safety measures.
- Experience in routine maintenance of equipment, including lubrication, belt splicing, and cleaning.
- Possession of a valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more and work in extreme weather conditions, confined spaces, and at heights, while having the necessary personal protective equipment and steel-toed footwear.
- First Aid and WHMIS certifications are considered assets.
- Must successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
