Meat Cutter Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Lacombe Food Store, a part of Federated Co-operatives Limited. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest quality of meat products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service and answer customer questions
- Skillfully slice, trim, and prepare a variety of meat selections and cuts, then carefully wrap and package each with utmost precision
- Manage time efficiently to complete all special orders
- Order, receive, and stock freight orders
- Practice safe food handling procedures and wear appropriate attire
- Perform general housekeeping duties, following proper sanitation procedures and maintaining housekeeping logs
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
Requirements:
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with the ability to work independently
- Correct handling of knives and proficient utilization of other cutting tools
- Experience with food preparation is an asset; training is available
- Capable of working in a cold/refrigerated environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required
