Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Insurance Accounting Specialist to join our team at 5H0 Hub International Limited. As an Insurance Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, resolving service tickets, and reconciling payments to carriers, brokers, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls from customers requesting assistance and resolve their queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Respond to and resolve service tickets in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Reconcile and disburse payments to carriers, brokers, and clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Apply debit to credits and bill transactions as required.
  • Manage activities to identify validity, complexity, and clarity of incoming and outgoing transactions.
  • Determine assistance needed and follow the path to resolution, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate with customers, carriers, finance companies, and accounting teams to resolve issues and provide updates.
  • Follow up to ensure end-results are obtained and requests are completed.
  • Work with the accounting units to ensure requests are completed and Salesforce tasks are monitored daily.
  • Assure that fields are completed correctly and timely in the Salesforce ARC ticketing system.
  • Attend team meetings and participate in training sessions to develop skills and knowledge.

Essential Traits and Experience

  • Insurance accounting experience, including agency bill carrier payables and/or cash application.
  • Commercial lines account management experience with heavy agency billing experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a good eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and provide results, with a talent for leadership.
  • Applied Epic experience a plus.

Other Requirements

  • Position is remote, with a requirement for an efficient and quiet workspace at home.
  • Must live within driving distance of a Hub office.
