Position Overview:
The Mobile Application Developer plays a crucial role within our IT team, focusing on the design, development, and upkeep of a mobile application tailored to enhance student recruitment and support current students. This role involves creating applications for iOS, Android, and Windows platforms, utilizing multi-platform frameworks like Xamarin or .NET MAUI. The primary objective is to develop an application that streamlines the enrollment process and supports students throughout their educational journey, ultimately improving their overall experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop advanced mobile applications to enrich the student experience.
  • Create intuitive, visually appealing, and responsive user interfaces.
  • Develop prototypes and conduct usability testing to gather user feedback for design improvements.
  • Collaborate with the development team to integrate mobile app features with existing backend systems.
  • Utilize analytics tools to monitor app performance and resolve any emerging issues.
  • Provide regular updates and enhancements based on user feedback to improve functionality.
  • Maintain and upgrade mobile applications in line with new platform releases.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Implement new features and enhancements driven by user feedback and institutional needs.
  • Connect mobile app functionalities with existing college resources and services.
  • Address bugs and enhance application performance.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the college's objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Preferred specialized courses or certifications in iOS, Android, .NET MAUI (or Xamarin).
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Mobile App Development.
  • Demonstrated experience in software development.
  • Proficient in iOS and/or Android app development.
  • Experience publishing one or more iOS and/or Android applications in the app store.
  • Strong familiarity with iOS, Android, or multi-platform development.
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle.
