Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Care to join our team at Jarlette Health Services. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the provision of high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Management
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the nursing team to ensure the delivery of excellent care to residents.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Care Coordination
  • Assess the care needs of residents and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Coordinate the delivery of care services, including nursing, therapy, and support services.
Quality Improvement
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance the care experience for residents.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care services and make recommendations for improvement.
Staff Development
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff are equipped to provide high-quality care.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience
  • Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Successful completion of or enrollment in Long Term Care Senior Management or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Long Term Care (Gerontology) preferred.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Computer literate and proficient in electronic medical records.
