Key Responsibilities

As a Child Care Specialist, your role will include:

  • Leading engaging activities such as storytelling, music, and educational outings.
  • Managing supplies and maintaining organized records.
  • Encouraging creative expression through art, music, and play.
  • Guiding children in developing healthy habits related to eating, dressing, and personal care.
  • Preparing snacks and arranging environments for meal and rest times.
  • Monitoring children's development and reporting any concerns to supervisors.
  • Participating in staff meetings to discuss children's progress.
  • Planning activities for school-age children during care programs.
Certifications Required

Applicants should hold the following certifications:

  • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1)
  • Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
