Job Overview

Ontario Power Generation Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Inspection Technology & Development team in the role of Senior Technical Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will contribute to the company's public outreach, engagement, and education efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical evaluations and advice to support the operation of power generation facilities.
  • Lead projects, develop work plans, and coordinate work efforts with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Perform as a technical expert in a designated segment of the assigned technical discipline.
  • Provide technical advice to support OPG operations and contribute to committees and task forces.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the assigned technical discipline.
  • Maintain written documented processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with field teams for planning and execution of testing.
  • Lead projects/studies within the discipline, involving non-standard requirements.
  • Develop work plans, determine resource requirements, and balance workload with available resources.
  • Produce reports and presentations to portray results of studies and field tests.

Requirements

  • 4-year Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Applied Science.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience within the designated discipline.
  • Experience in dealing with complex technical problems and assignments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a flexible hybrid office environment.
