Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Truck Mechanic to join our team at Red Seal truck and Equipment Repair. As an Industrial Truck Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of industrial trucks and forklifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate Repair Costs: Accurately assess the cost of repairs and provide quotes to customers.
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance and Service: Regularly inspect and maintain industrial trucks and forklifts to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
  • Advise Customers on Work Performed and Condition of Equipment: Provide detailed explanations of the work performed and the condition of the equipment to customers.
  • Repair and Rebuild Hoisting Mechanism and Other Mechanical Systems: Diagnose and repair or rebuild hoisting mechanisms and other mechanical systems on industrial trucks and forklifts.
  • Test and Adjust Repaired Equipment for Proper Performance: Thoroughly test and adjust repaired equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
Work Environment

As an Industrial Truck Mechanic, you will work in a fast-paced environment with noisy, dusty, and odorous conditions. You will be required to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions.

Requirements
  • Manual Dexterity: Possess the ability to use your hands and fingers to manipulate objects.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accurate repairs and maintenance.
  • Hand-Eye Coordination: Possess the ability to coordinate your hands and eyes to perform tasks.
  • Bending, Crouching, Kneeling: Be able to bend, crouch, and kneel to access and repair equipment.
  • Handling Heavy Loads: Possess the physical ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Physically Demanding: Be able to work in physically demanding conditions.
