Physician Services Manager

The Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physician Services Manager to lead the administrative delivery of regional physician services. This key role will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of physician administration, supporting the delivery of high-quality and timely regional physician services.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the negotiation, preparation, implementation, and monitoring of physician and PSPO contracts.
- Ensure appropriate governance and management agreements are in place for the delivery of physician services.
- Develop and maintain SLRPSI Board Physician policies & procedures, governance, bylaws, etc.
- Support the SLRPSI Board Strategic plan, vision, mission, and values of regional physician services for the area.
- Participate in the establishment of the annual per diem budget.
- Provide statistical information and reports to Physician Services Director and SLRPSI Board and SLFNHA Executive.
- Establish Quality Assurance and monitoring along with the SLFNHA/SLRPSI Medical Director, Director, Physician Services, and Governance Committee.
- Prepare required reports in collaboration with Finance and ensure timely submissions to meet deadlines.
- Persons of First Nations ancestry will be given preference.
- Bachelor or Master of Health Administration or Business Administration.
- Minimum of Five (5) years' experience within a health-affiliated organization.
- Demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, verbal/written, and computer communication skills.
- Experience in people management, program development, governance, budget, resource management, and organizational skills.
- Valid Ontario G driver's license.
The successful candidate will be required to work effectively with communities and other organizations, including the Ministry of Health, Health Force Ontario, and the Ontario Medical Association.
