Position Overview

As a Meat Processing Assistant at UK CORNER MARKET INC., you will play a crucial role in the preparation and handling of various meat products. This position requires a keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meat Preparation: Clean and prepare meats for cutting and processing.
  • Cutting and Trimming: Execute standard cuts of meat with precision.
  • Packaging: Wrap and package prepared meats for sale.
  • Bone Removal: Skillfully remove bones from meat products.
  • Weight and Pricing: Accurately weigh meats and price products accordingly.
  • Fish and Seafood: Clean and prepare fish and shellfish as required.
  • Supervision: Oversee the work of other butchers and meat cutters.
  • Training: Assist in training new meat cutters.
  • Cooked Meats: Slice and prepare cooked meats for display.
  • Roast Preparation: Shape, lace, and tie roasts, poultry, and seafood.
Work Environment

This role is physically demanding and requires strong hand-eye coordination. You will be expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety and health regulations.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months in a similar role.
Employment Details

This is a permanent position with a work schedule of 32 to 36 hours per week. The primary language of work is English.
