Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Roofing Specialist to join our team at Y International Recruiting & Immigration Services Inc. as a Flat Roofer. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of roofing systems, including asphalt shingles, wood shingles, and metal roofs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Roofing Installation and Repair: Install or replace roofing materials on sloped roofs of buildings, including asphalt shingles, wood shingles, and metal roofs.
  • Supervision and Instruction: Supervise and instruct apprentices in the art of roofing.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for roofing projects.
  • Site Preparation: Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms to ensure safe access to roofs.
  • Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand roofing designs and requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in the roofing industry.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding work environment, requiring bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, working at heights, in noisy, dusty, and dangerous conditions.
