We are seeking a skilled Masonry Specialist to join our team at ROLL STONE GRANITE COUNTERTOP INC. as a key member of our construction team.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units to ensure high-quality construction and meet project deadlines.
- Lay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide veneer facing for residential and commercial buildings.
- Construct and install prefabricated masonry units to meet project requirements.
- Read sketches and blueprints to accurately calculate materials required for each project.
- Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools.
- Lay bricks or other masonry units to build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces.
- Lay radial bricks to build masonry shells of industrial chimneys.
- Lay or install firebricks to line industrial chimneys and smokestacks.
- Line or reline furnaces, kilns, boilers and similar installations using refractory or acid-resistant bricks, refractory concretes, plastic refractories and other materials.
- Physically demanding work environment requiring prolonged standing, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in masonry and construction.
- Permanent employment with a competitive salary and benefits package.
- English as the primary language of communication.
- 35 hours per week of work, with opportunities for overtime.
