Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct testing and repair of electronic devices and assemblies.
- Execute light soldering tasks (surface mount repair, asset).
- Uphold a high standard of workmanship quality throughout the testing and repair processes.
- Offer technical support to production lines.
- Lead the testing and troubleshooting of Mircom products using various test equipment, including oscilloscopes and test fixtures.
- Collaborate directly with production staff and assist in training new team members on all facets of testing and repair as needed.
- Work within a team environment to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements and Skills:
- Post-secondary education in electronics.
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in testing and repairing electronic assemblies.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret schematics.
- Proficiency in surface mount soldering.
- Basic knowledge of MS Suite and computer literacy.
- Capability to comprehend both written and verbal instructions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a diverse team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with Automated Test programs such as JTAG or Labview is a plus.
- Additional experience with testing and repairing Mircom, Secutron, or Securiplex fire alarm systems is desirable.
