We are seeking a highly skilled Family Lawyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, with a minimum of 5 years of experience. They will be responsible for attending court hearings and trials, conducting legal research, and drafting legal documents.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Family Law Practice
  • Attend court hearings and trials for family law matters.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  1. Client Representation
  • Negotiate with opposing counsel and draft settlement agreements for clients.
  • Represent clients in mediation and arbitration for family law matters.
  1. Case Management
  • Prepare for and attend depositions and other discovery-related proceedings.
  • Manage billing and time entry for clients.
  1. Client Relationships
  • Maintain client relationships with a high level of confidentiality.
Requirements
  1. J.D. or equivalent education with admission to bar.
  2. 5+ years of experience in family law.
  3. Trial experience.
  4. Exceptional drafting, research, and writing skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  6. Strong work ethic and commitment to client service.
  7. Familiarity with family law software.
  8. Knowledge of Laws of Ontario, including the Family Law Act, the Children's Law Reform Act, and the Divorce Act.
