About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Swim Instructor/Lifeguard to join our team at Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS). As a Swim Instructor/Lifeguard, you will play a vital role in providing quality leisure programs and ensuring the safety of our military members and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver swimming lessons to individuals and groups
  • Supervise the use of the pool and ensure the safety of swimmers
  • Enforce safety rules and regulations
  • Teach participants how to swim and design activities for specific groups
  • Motivate students and help them reach their full potential
Requirements
  • Current National Lifeguard Service (NLS) certification
  • Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification
  • Current recognized Swim Instructor certification
  • Experience in dealing with the public, including children
  • Experience in performing lifeguard duties
  • Experience in implementing training and practice sessions
  • Experience in cash handling

Language Requirements

English is the primary language of communication, but bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
