In this role, you will engage in essential tasks within both the laboratory and diagnostic imaging sectors. Your contributions will be crucial in rural healthcare settings, collaborating with a dedicated team to collect and analyze biological samples, perform X-ray examinations, conduct ECGs, and communicate findings effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for procedures and conduct venipuncture.
- Maintain routine equipment and adhere to quality control protocols.
- Perform diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests with precision.
Position Details:
- Classification: Combined Lab/X-Ray Tech I
- Union: HSAA FAC PROF/TECH
- Unit and Program: Lab and Diagnostic Imaging
- Employee Class: Regular Part Time
- FTE: 0.60
- Hours per Shift: 7.75
- Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Weekends, On Call
Compensation:
- Minimum Salary: $35.45
- Maximum Salary: $46.69
Qualifications:
- Completion of a diploma in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT) program.
- Registered with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).
- Recent experience in cardiology and proficiency in computer systems.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification is required.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with diagnostic imaging and laboratory equipment.
- Familiarity with Epic LIS system is advantageous.
