About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaboration and Teamwork
    • Work closely with teachers, families, and external resources to provide targeted support for students with special needs.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of personalized intervention plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Support and Guidance
    • Provide direct academic support, particularly in basic skills, lessons, and homework.
    • Adopt a proactive approach to supporting students in their adaptation and behavioral management, using optimal and adapted communication techniques.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Rigorously document observations and interventions, keep student files up to date, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Manage the administration of medication according to medical and school guidelines, and intervene in first aid, if necessary.
    • Guide and train new team members and supervise support staff tasks related to technical operations.
    • Carry out any additional tasks adapted to emerging needs.
    Requirements
    • A college diploma in Special Education Techniques or a diploma/certificate recognized as equivalent.
    • Fluency in written and oral English. Knowledge of French would be an asset.
    • Experience with students with behavioral and academic difficulties.
    • A valid first-aid certificate.
