Job Summary

Uppal Trans Logistics Inc. is seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join their team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and unload goods from vehicles
  • Operate and drive trucks to transport goods to various locations
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections and perform maintenance tasks to ensure optimal vehicle condition
  • Respond to emergency roadside situations and perform repairs as needed
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch and other stakeholders regarding cargo and travel information
  • Record and maintain accurate records of cargo and travel data
  • Ensure the safety and security of cargo during transportation
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Previous experience in the transportation industry is an asset
  • Valid Class 1 or A Driver's License
  • Air Brakes Endorsement and Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Experience with communication systems such as GPS
Desirable Skills and Characteristics
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
  • Flexibility and sound judgment in decision-making
  • Reliability and commitment to fulfilling job duties

This is a permanent position with 50 hours per week in an English-speaking work environment.
