Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietitian I to join our Clinical Trials Unit at Alberta Health Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the coordination and execution of clinical trials, ensuring the highest level of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the coordination of clinical trials, including identifying potential participants and conducting research-related nutrition assessments.
  • Coordinate investigations to ensure trial compliance according to study protocol.
  • Perform patient assessments, management, and education.
  • Obtain informed consent and conduct dietary intake assessments.
  • Administer questionnaires or other data collection tools.
  • Plan, implement, and coordinate all aspects of data collection and source documentation as per GCP guidelines.
  • Execute all aspects of study visits, including assessment, symptoms, monitoring safety, medication, and questionnaires.
  • Make clinical and professional autonomous decisions on a daily basis.
  • Work within and monitor standards of care in the defined clinical trial protocols and the policies, procedures, standards, and protocols of the Clinical Trials Unit.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science with a major in Foods and Nutrition.
  • Completion of an internship program or practicum training program accredited by the Dietitians of Canada.
  • Active or eligible for registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta (CDA).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oncology experience and/or clinical trials experience.
