Position Overview

The BIM and CAD Systems Lead will report directly to the Senior Technology Systems Specialist and the Technology Systems Architect. This role is pivotal in providing expert support for design initiatives utilizing Revit and AutoCAD.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee project teams to ensure compliance with Revit modeling standards and facilitate content creation and coordination.
  • Manage team assignments effectively while monitoring production workflows.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members, conducting performance reviews and providing necessary training.
  • Set up Revit models and project configurations to meet project specifications.
  • Implement document control and management processes to maintain project integrity.
  • Develop tailored solutions to meet specific project needs.
  • Focus on Revit and design aspects related to technology systems and devices.
  • Create and manage families for technology systems, including ESS, AV, Communications, IM/IT, and Structured Cabling.
  • Generate drawings based on design information sourced from Visio, Bluebeam, and CAD, including systems line diagrams, floor plans, and elevations.
  • Provide training and support for junior team members to enhance their skills.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a College/Technical/University Diploma.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Revit software design and application.
  • Proficient in Revit modeling across MEP, Architectural, and Structural disciplines.
  • Experience with design markup tools such as Visio, Bluebeam, and CAD.
  • Experience in a large office or collaborative work environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Comfortable using remote task assignment software.
  • Familiarity with agile sprint-based team structures.
  • Ability to utilize remote enabling technologies like Microsoft Teams, Webex, Zoom, and Go To Meeting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities with a flexible and energetic approach.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize tasks and take initiative.
  • Experience in the Engineering, Architectural, or Construction industry is advantageous.
