We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Technologist to join our team at BC Hydro. As a Civil Engineering Technologist, you will play a key role in the design, construction, and maintenance of our power generation facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Education and Training: Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations related to civil engineering and power generation.
- Design and Construction: Participate in the design and construction of power generation facilities, including civil engineering aspects such as foundation design, structural analysis, and site preparation.
- Maintenance and Operations: Collaborate with operations teams to ensure the safe and efficient operation of power generation facilities, including maintenance and repair activities.
- Project Management: Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of civil engineering projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in civil engineering or a related field.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
