Key Information:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience operating heavy machinery.

  • Work hours are based on a 44-hour week, with mandatory overtime during peak periods.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy machinery, ensuring proper cleaning, lubrication, and refueling.
  • Conduct thorough pre-operational inspections and secure necessary attachments.
  • Utilize two-way radios and other communication tools effectively, performing minor repairs as needed.
  • Achieve high production levels while maintaining quality standards.
  • Perform fine grading and finishing tasks.
  • Assist fellow operators, laborers, and tradespeople when necessary.
  • Carry out daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment.

Experience and Certification Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a heavy equipment operator is required.
  • CSTS-09, WHMIS 2015, and Ground Disturbance Level 2 certifications are mandatory.
  • Ability to quickly identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and collaborate effectively with a team.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • A valid driver's abstract is required, obtained within 30 days prior to employment.
  • Proficient English language skills are necessary.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
