About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at Broadview Nursing Centre. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living activities: Help residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and using the bathroom.
  • Provide personal care: Assist with feeding, transferring, and positioning residents.
  • Support with mobility and transfers: Help residents walk, transfer from bed to chair, and use mobility aids.
  • Administer medications: Assist with administering medications as directed by the nurse.
  • Monitor and report changes: Monitor residents' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the nurse or supervisor.
  • Participate in care planning: Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Requirements
  • Education: College diploma or certificate in a related field (e.g., personal support worker, nursing assistant).
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a long-term care setting.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.
