Main Purpose of the Role & Responsibilities in the Business:

Kainos is seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to provide technical leadership and expertise in data architecture disciplines. As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for providing guidance on data structures, data flows, data sourcing, and data governance. You will work closely with clients to understand their data requirements and ensure that solutions are fit for purpose.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of providing technical leadership within data projects, including assurance, mentoring, and standards definition. They will also have experience of product or technology selection, either for a project or at enterprise level.

Excellent client engagement skills are essential, with the ability to provide thought leadership to clients and the wider industry. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in at least three mainstream data technologies and aware of wider data technology trends.

Minimum (Essential) Requirements:
  1. Strong technical design expertise in core data architecture disciplines.
  2. Track record of providing technical leadership within data projects.
  3. Experience of product or technology selection.
  4. Excellent client engagement skills.
  5. Highly proficient in at least three mainstream data technologies.
Desirable:
  1. Competent in defining information handling models and capacity planning.
  2. Experience of establishing data governance processes.
  3. Experience of architecting a data lake and solutions that reside within a data lake ecosystem.
  4. Enterprise Data Architecture experience.
