What We Are Looking For:

Our clinic seeks an individual with exceptional skills and experience to take on the role of Optical Associate.

In this vital position, you will contribute significantly to FYidoctors' success by providing top-notch service to our patients. As an Optical Associate, you will often be the first point of contact for clients, so it is essential to bring a passion for customer service and a commitment to delivering an outstanding experience. Your contributions will help us positively impact the health and well-being of our current and future patients.

This role is a full-time, permanent position, requiring up to 40 hours of work per week from Monday to Saturday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Educating clients on optimal eyewear choices tailored to their lifestyle, ensuring they receive the best value and quality
  • Informing patients about advancements in corrective eyewear solutions and assisting them in selecting frames that meet their aesthetic and functional needs
  • Interpreting optical prescriptions as provided by optometrists
  • Conducting frame and facial measurements to ensure proper fit and positioning of new eyewear, as well as performing repairs and adjustments for returning patients
  • Managing Contact Lens orders and assisting with fittings
  • Engaging with patients in person, via phone, and through electronic communication
  • Handling billing for patients, their medical service providers, and other third parties
  • Coordinating appointment bookings, prescription printouts, and billing and payment processes
  • Welcoming patients warmly as they arrive at our clinic
  • Upholding exceptional customer service standards through your interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a retail setting
  • Experience in the optical field is an asset
  • A strong passion for customer service
  • High comfort level with technology and computer systems
  • Excellent communication skills to provide outstanding patient care
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
